Q: Can I wash my hair with tape extensions in?

Absolutely, all our tape extensions are pre-fitted with a waterproof medical grade tape which ensures you can shampoo your hair like normal. Just remember to to wait 24-48 hours after fitting and avoid conditioners and oils at the root. 

Q: Can I install tape extensions on myself?

It’s always recommended to visit a qualified hair extensionist to have professional/ permanent extensions fitted correctly. As easy as they may look, it takes a lot of skill and practice to get them right especially to protect the health and safety of your natural hair. If you prefer to have something easy to do at home, we suggest our Clip-in hair extensions.

Q: Who is considered suitable for tape extensions?

Tape extensions are suitable for all hair densities as long as you have enough natural hair to cover! We have designed our products to be extremely flat and lightweight. Q: Will tape extensions damage my hair?

Tape extensions will not damage your hair if they are fitted correctly, removed correctly, maintained correctly. Q: How many tape peaces will I need for myself?

Below is an estimated guide on how many tape pieces you may need based on achieving both length and thickness as a result. While this can be helpful, always consult a professional as you may need more or less depending on your desired look and your natural hair. 

For fine to average hair density:

60 tapes (150g) will create a natural look, while 80 (200g) tapes will provide a more voluminous appearance.

For medium to thicker hair density:

80 tapes (200g) will lend a natural look while 90 tapes (250g)+ will result in a more voluminous finish.

(Remember: 20 tapes = 10 sandwiches)

• All our tape extensions are waterproof when fitted correctly, avoid getting wet for 24-48 hours for the tape to set.

• Avoid any oils or conditioners at the root for a longer lasting wear.

• Make sure to brush through your tape extensions including your natural hair (not forgetting the roots).

• Avoid getting the blue tape cover wet before they have been fitted into your hair, if they do, make sure they are 100% dry before you peel off the cover.

• Do not wear your tape extensions longer than the recommended time (6-9 weeks).

• 20 tapes = 50 grams / 40 tapes = 100 grams / 60 tapes = 150 grams / 80 tapes= 200 grams / 100 tapes = 250 grams etc.
