THE SHADE GALLERY
OUR COLOURING PROCESS
Each shade is crafted using professional salon tints to achieve natural depth, tone, and dimension. We do not use textile dyes, ensuring every colour reflects the softness and realism of natural hair.
We avoid using standard bleach powder chemicals on our hair extensions as healthy and longevity is what we prioritise most.
We use advanced Russian cold bleaching technology a slow, controlled lifting process that can take up to 5 days to lighten the hair. This method helps to preserve 95% of strength and quality.
To finalise, the hair is treated with a collagen-infused treatment to restore softness and smoothness, without the need for heavy silicone coatings. Ready for you to install.
How do I choose the right shade for me?
Shade matching should always be done in natural lighting only for the most accurate result. Match the shade from the mid-lengths to the ends of your natural hair, as this reflects the majority of your color. If you have a small amount of previous color that you plan to trim off, match the shade to the healthiest, most consistent part of your hair to achieve the most seamless blend.
Are the shades the same across all textures and methods?
Shades are consistent across collections. However curly and coily textures can appear slightly warmer due to how light reflects off of tighter curl patterns.
What if I’m between two shades?
If you’re between two shades, you can mix them both to create dimension throughout your hair. This technique gives a natural, multi-tonal effect that looks realistic and seamless.
Can I colour or tone my hair extensions?
Yes! We understand that hair extensions may need color restoration over time, which is why Pearl Majesty uses healthy virgin, single donor hair as a base to create all our extensions. This ensures they can withstand multiple colour touch-ups without compromising texture or integrity.
For best results:
- Always have colouring or toning done professionally by a licensed stylist.
- Do not use lightening agents on pre-coloured hair, as this can damage the extensions.
For Professionals:
Natural Black (#1B) and Dark Chocolate (#2) have no previous colour history, allowing them to be professionally lifted to approximately a level 8–9 to create bespoke shades, highlights, or balayage for your clients. We always recommend carrying out a strand test before any chemical service.
Should I buy the hair extensions before if colouring my natural hair?
Yes! We recommend purchasing your extensions before hand if you plan on colouring your natural hair. This allows your stylist to match your natural hair to the extensions much easier for a better blend.
If your hair needs a shade adjustment, your stylist can customise the shade to ensure harmony with both your natural hair and the extensions.
Will the shade look exactly like the photos?
Our shade gallery is created to show true tones as accurately as possible with iPhone photography.
You can expect the shade to be at least 80%–99% the same in real life. However, it’s important to have realistic expectations: human hair has individual DNA pigments and porosities, so subtle variations may occur. Think of it like going to the salon with a friend and asking for the same colour- there may still be slight differences as we all have different genetic makeup-up, just like our hair donors.
Always check shades in natural daylight before making your final selection. If you need to make any adjustments, they can be dyed.
